CSKA Moscow boss Leonid Slutsky believes Manchester City are overplaying the racial abuse experienced by Yaya Toure in the recent Champions League meeting between the two clubs in Russia.
The Ivory Coast midfielder was the subject of racial taunts from CSKA fans at the Arena Khimki on October 23 but Slutsky has defended his club and its supporters ahead of the return leg at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday.
"We have already spoken about our official position. It is normal, like many people, we are against racism," he said during Monday's press conference.
"In our team we have black players. We love them and give them our support.
"As for the match, we did not hear any racial slurs, so it is difficult to comment.
"We have received our punishment, and it was up to UEFA to make this decision."
