Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has blasted one of his own players, James McArthur, for his diving antics during the Eagles' clash with Stoke City.
Palace managed to take a huge step towards securing their safety in the Premier League with a 2-1 victory over the Potters on Saturday.
Despite the victory though, Pardew was left with a bitter taste in his mouth after McArthur took a tumble under minimal contact inside the box during the early stages of the second half, as the midfielder attempted to con the referee into awarding Palace a penalty.
The Scotsman's simulation has certainly not gone down too well with Pardew and he has now gone on to slam the 27-year old by labeling his actions as 'embarrassing'.
The Selhurst Park boss told Sky Sports' 'Goals on Sunday' programme: "He dived. He should be embarrassed. He's a great professional and that's unlike him. I was surprised but it shows what pressure does to players.
"I haven't spoken to him about it but I don't need to. He will see the replay and he will be embarrassed."
