Andros Townsend is excited to be playing alongside Christian Benteke at Crystal Palace.

Benteke struck in victory at Middlesbrough on Saturday.

Townsend said: “Last season is last season. We might not have won in the first two or three games but we didn't think beyond that.

“We wanted to win to get our season up and running. But it wasn't because we were looking for the first win in 20 we wanted the first win in four.

“We knew when we signed Christian that if we got balls into the box he would score goals and that's what happened."
