French defender Romain Thomas is attracting Premier League interest.

The Croydon Advertiser says Crystal Palace and West Brom are reportedly in the race to sign Thomas.

Reports in France say the experienced 28-year-old will leave his club Angers this summer, with a clutch of Ligue 1 clubs, including AS Monaco and Marseilles, interested. However, it is believed the giant central defender could be tempted by a move to the Premier League and reports suggest West Brom and Alan Pardew's Palace have made enquiries.

Palace are certainly in the market for centre-back cover, with Adrian Mariappa being released last week.
