Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway is looking to hijack Celtic's move for Portuguese striker Amido Balde.
The VitoriaGuimaraes ace has emerged as a strong target for the Scottish champions, who have reportedly offered £2.5million, but Palace have now joined the race.
Holloway is determined to improve the side that won promotion over Watford by virtue of the playoff final and will go after a number of players this summer including Balde.
