Crystal Palace to name Roy Hodgson as new manager

Crystal Palace are expected to name Roy Hodgson as new manager.

The Daily Mail says Hodgson is set to be appointed Crystal Palace manager on a two-year deal with Frank de Boer's dismissal confirmed.

Hodgson has been out of work since leaving the England job after the national side's humiliating defeat to Iceland in the Euro 2016 round of 16 last summer and he will be in the hot-seat for the visit of Southampton on Saturday.

The 70-year-old has enjoyed varying levels of success at club level in the Premier League previously.

He spent three years at Fulham and guided them to the Europa League final in 2010, before a forgettable six month spell at Liverpool.

Hodgson restored his reputation at West Brom, though, and spent four years in charge of the Three Lions.
