Premier League returnees Crystal Palace are believed to be showing considerable interest in Umaru Bangura.
The 25-year old centre-back is currently under contract with Norwegian club FK Haugesund but is trying to obtain a working visa so he can make the move to the UK.
Bangura is the subject of an offer from Palace but admitted his frustration after Haugesund turned it down.
"I am very disappointed," he told Haugesund Avis.
"I'm ready for new challenges, and the Premier League is a great opportunity for me and Crystal Palace want me now.
"I only have a few months left on my contract before I can go for free, so the choice should not be that difficult."
