Crystal Palace have struck a deal for West Ham defender James Tomkins.

The Croydon Advertiser says Palace are reported to have agreed a deal this evening to sign Tomkins.

If the reports in the national press are correct the fee for the 27-year-old would be £12.5 million.

The Selhurst Park cheque book might need replacing soon after a crazy day of signings and speculation that will have got all Palace fans excited.
