Crystal Palace set to win race for Fleetwood hotshot Vardy

Crystal Palace are set to win the race for Fleetwood Town striker Jamie Vardy.

The Daily Mail says Palace hope to agree a £750,000 deal to sign Vardy from Fleetwood Town, before loaning the striker back to the Blue Square Premier side for the rest of this season.

Blackpool, Leicester City, Southampton, West Ham United, Celtic and Rangers have all previously been linked with the 25-year-old, who has notched 17 goals in 18 games since joining Fleetwood at the start of the season.
