Crystal Palace are very serious about the prospect of signing Danny Ings from Liverpool, according to The Times.

The newspaper reports that Palace see Ings as the type of player who could provide much needed physicality and goal scoring prowess to their frontline.

They want him to take away some of the goalscoring burden from star man Wilfried Zaha for the coming season.

And Liverpool would be willing to sell. Ings, who arrived at the club in 2015, has not managed to nail down a first team place.

He is seen as expendable by Reds manager Jurgen Klopp, especially with youngster Rhian Brewster joining the first team squad.
