Crystal Palace's Pulis excited by Chamakh return

Marouane Chamakh is set to return for Crystal Palace and manager Tony Pulis couldn't be happier.

The Moroccan striker, who leads the Eagles scoring charts this season, has missed the past four Premier League fixtures because of a hamstring injury he sustained against Swansea City in early March.

However, the former Arsenal forward could feature at Cardiff City on Saturday and Pulis is delighted that he is nearing a first team return.

"Chamakh has trained all week," Pulis told reporters. "He looks ready to go.

"Whether we start him or whether he's involved on the bench, we'll have to wait and see. It's a decision that I'll make closer to the game.

"He's been outstanding for us. For me, he's the player that gives us something a little bit different within the group."

Chamkah, who joined Palace from the Gunners in the summer, has netted five league goals in 26 appearances in his debut campaign at Selhurst Park.
