Crystal Palace's Jedinak not out to disrespect current Socceroos skipper Neill

Mile Jedinak insists he will not comment on the possibility of him becoming the next captain of the Australian national team.

The Crystal Palace skipper is being touted as the successor to current captain Lucas Neill but has made it clear that he has no desire to talk about something that is simply speculation.

"It's not really my position to say anything in that regard," Jedinak said.

"I think it would be disrespectful in that sense. People are going to have their opinions but I don't really think about that too much.

"I'm just looking forward to the future for this national team."
