Crystal Palace's Jedinak eager for Brazil test

Mile Jedinak says he cannot wait to take on Brazil this weekend.

The Crystal Palace captain is in the Australia squad for the international friendly in Brasilia on Saturday (Sunday morning AEST) and is looking forward to getting back in the international fray with the Socceroos after missing World Cup qualifiers in June.

"It was a shame to miss out on those games (against Japan, Jordan and Iraq) but the most important thing was that we qualified and credit to the boys for that," Jedinak said.

"I am looking forward to seeing them again and testing ourselves against the team everybody seems to be backing to win the World Cup on home soil."

Jedinak added that a recent club clash with Brazil star Paulinho, when Palace played Tottenham in the Premier League, has him chomping at the bit to tackle the samba stars.

"He's a strong, combative player who gets stuck in and has a presence about him and playing against Brazil is going something special for all of us," he added.

"As a player you love to measure yourself against the best and I don't see us as being under any pressure because not too many people will probably expect us to get too much out of the game.

"We've just got to go in with the right attitude and give a good account of ourselves and the result will take care of itself."
