Crystal Palace's Holloway wants Arsenal, Man Utd target Zaha to focus

Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has urged Wilfried Zaha to remain focused on the job at hand.

The 20-year old winger is being heavily linked with a January move to Arsenal or Manchester United but Holloway is keen to keep him until at least the seasons end and hopes he can keep his mind on his current club and not what potentially lies ahead.

"When a young player gets a chance to move and the club say no, we need to manage that disappointment and refocus that person," Holloway told the London Evening Standard.

Holloway was also fed up with the amount of transfer talk surrounding Zaha who made his England debut last month.

"Nobody can write an article that says Wilfried's going to go to Arsenal or whoever else and be right, because nobody knows, he's a Palace player," he said.

"So, let's just do us all a favour, stop talking about some young fella and let him get on with the rest of his life.

"And I'm sure he'll be good. I know I can make him better and that's all I want to do, but the more we mention one player, the worse it gets, so as far as I'm concerned let's just shove it in a drawer and forget about it."
