Crystal Palace's Clyne has knee scan

Crystal Palace youngster Nathaniel Clyne has undergone a scan on his injured knee.

The 20-year old defender was forced out of the weekend's scoreless draw with West Ham United and could miss this weekend's clash with Peterborough United with manager Dougie Freedman confirming the scan was simply precautionary.

"He picked up a knock in training before we played Watford and felt it in that match so we had a scan done," said Freedman.

"It's nothing serious but he is a young lad and the rest for two or three games will do him good."
