Nicky Carle has admitted to performing below par with Crystal Palace this season and believes his time at the club may be up. The former Newcastle Jets man has failed to live up to high standards he set himself in the A-League and as a result is in danger of losing his contract with the Eagles.
"The season hasn't gone how I would have liked - I would liked to have scored a few more goals," he told the Croydon Advertiser.
"That's a major part I've got to work on. Four goals isn't good enough. When you set yourself some targets on a personal level and don't reach them it's disappointing.
"I put myself under pressure to perform. I don't think there's a player that doesn't. I've come here, worked hard on and off the pitch to make sure I'm ready.
"Whatever happens in the summer is up to the gaffer. My job is to work as hard as I can for the manager, team mates and the club."
