Crystal Palace's Alexander: We won't push for Man Utd's Zaha

Crystal Palace chief executive Phil Alexander says the club will not be in hot pursuit of Wilfried Zaha this summer.

Reports have suggested that the promoted Eagles were desperate to get the 20-year old winger back to Selhurst Park on loan from Manchester United following his move to Old Trafford in January.

Zaha re-joined Palace on loan for the remainder of last season and now the Eagles are keen on getting him back to South London for the upcoming campaign but have made it clear that the decision will certainly be up to United.

"It's another option, clearly that's up to Manchester United," he told Sky Sports News.

"He's their player now. Will we be asking? We'll probably ask in passing but it's really down to them.

"Would we love to see Wilfried back? Of course we would but he's got a career at Manchester United and, after a few training sessions up there, I'm not sure they'll be willing to let him out on loan."
