Celtic captain and talisman Scott Brown is being linked with a January move to Crystal Palace.
The Scottish Sun says Palace manager Neil Warnock has had Brown watched several times this season and is now planning to go ahead with a £5m January bid for the Scotland midfielder.
Celtic have opened talks with Brown, whose contract expires at the end of the season, about a new deal that would eventually see him become a player-coach at the club.
Despite his impressive reputation, Brown has never tested himself outside the Scottish Premier League.
At Palace, he would find Scotland teammates James McArthur and Barry Bannan.
