Forgotten Crystal Palace defender Papa Souare has received a call-up to the Senegal squad for their upcoming friendlies.

The defender will be in contention to face Uzbekistan and Bosnia later this month.

Souare has featured just three times for the Eagles since coming back from a horrific car crash that left him with a broken thighbone and jaw.

The 27-year-old will be buoyed by the opportunity to play football given the dearth of opportunities handed to him by Roy Hodgson.

The Eagles will travel across town this Saturday to take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
