Free agent Max Meyer is on the brink of signing with Crystal Palace.

The Guardian says Palace are closing in on a deal for Meyer.

It is reported that the former Schalke midfielder has been holding talks with Palace chiefs.

Meyer, 22, is a German international but is now a free agent, having previously been linked with Arsenal, Liverpool and others.

But Meyer is expected now to have a medical in London on Tuesday.
