Crystal Palace No2 Millen pleased with 2-goal Wickham after Valencia win

Crystal Palace No2 Keith Millen was pleased with Connor Wickham after their 3-1 friendly win over Valencia.

Wickham scored twice and Mile Jedinak was also on the scoresheet.

"Scoring goals is always good. They're (Valencia) a good side. They pass it around and the move you, so there were so good aspects to our shape as well, out of possession," said Wickham.

"You want your goal scorers to score goals, to give them some confidence. I thought Connor led the line very well. He was strong and to score goals will only give him confidence.

"The game suited Mile (Jedinak). He blocked it up. I thought him and Punch (Puncheon) did well in there because they tried to overload you through the middle of the pitch but we tried to work on our tactics a little bit more today and you could see with the tactics we were a little bit more aware."
