Crystal Palace and Newcastle United are chasing Atletico Madrid striker Kevin Gameiro.

The Mirror says the 30-year-old France international has fallen down the pecking order following Diego Costa's return to Atletico Madrid and his representatives are trying to get him a move to England.

Southampton are also keen but Gameiro's wages could be an issue, while Swansea have also discussed taking the forward.

Palace are on the lookout for a striker with Khouma Babacar another option.

Gameiro cost Atletico £27million when he joined from Sevilla 18 months ago.
