Crystal Palace have called a press conference for Thursday morning at which they are expected to unveil Neil Warnock as their new manager.
The Coca-Cola Championship club sacked Peter Taylor on Monday after 15 months in charge, and chairman Simon Jordan has moved quickly to fill the breach.
Warnock has been out of work since leaving Sheffield United at the end of last season and has been heavily linked with the Selhurst Park role in recent weeks as the pressure on Taylor grew.
Palace are currently 19th in the Championship with 10 points from their opening 10 games.
