Crystal Palace midfielder Luka Milivojevic has welcomed the international break.

Speaking after the Eagles beat Watford 1-0 on Saturday – their second win in a row at Selhurst Park – Milivojevic was delighted with Palace's performance and In particular that they kept the Hornets from scoring.

"It's amazing. Three games in a row we've won, we're very proud of ourselves, we're happy," he told Palace TV. "Now we go for the national team break happy - and that's very good for the team.

"That's very important, keeping clean sheets in the game. When you get that you are 50 per cent of the way to a win. They're not very easy to get in the Premier League, but we're doing well and hopefully that will continue.

"It was a strange game. There were a lot of fights, duels and a lot of set pieces. The fans wouldn't have enjoyed watching that, they didn't see much quality football but sometimes the games are like this.

"We're very proud to win these type of games, when you put your head and legs in there to win 50/50 balls. I think today the best player was the team."
