Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has managed to survive a series of lightning strikes, it has been revealed.
The Sun says a lightning bolt knocked out the security alarm at his £1.8million home in Cobham, Surrey, during a storm. Just a few days later, another bolt is said to have hit an outbuilding housing his personal gym at the five-bedroom property.
Fire crews spent six hours tackling a blaze started by the strike.
On loan at Crystal Palace, Loftus-Cheek is also reported to have survived a lightning bolt when one hit a nearby window 12 years ago.
A source joked: “He may have struggled getting game time for Chelsea, but he's certainly got his luck on other things.
“They say lightning doesn't strike twice but this proves it strikes thrice."
