Crystal Palace midfielder Ledley: Fully fit Remy can be key

Crystal Palace midfielder Joe Ledley has welcomed Loic Remy's return to full fitness.

The Frenchman, who is on a season-long loan from Chelsea, made his first appearance in a Palace shirt as he played the first 45 minutes of the FA Cup third round tie at Bolton Wanderers.

"It is great to see him back," said the Welshman to the Croydon Advertiser.

"He has been working hard off the pitch trying to get fit and it was an opportunity to see what he can do. He is obviously going to be a little bit rusty but I thought he was brilliant in the first half.

"Hopefully he will bring goals. His link up play was very good and he looked sharp, and on another day he could have scored. Hopefully he can come in and perform.

"It is important we do not rush him back. He has missed a lot of football and has been out for a while. Those 45 minutes will benefit him and hopefully he is in contention for the next game against West Ham."
