Crystal Palace manager Hodgson: Owners have promised me transfers

Roy Hodgson is confident the Crystal Palace owners will stick to their word and invest in the squad this summer.

The Eagles remain in a tight relegation fight despite their upturn in form.

The 70-year-old said: "The owners have been on board from the very first day or very first week or two when I had a chance to analyse the squad and they agreed right from the very beginning - for our squad to be the squad that we need to survive in the Premier League you can't have two goalkeepers, you need three, and you can't have one centre forward, you need four really, but you certainly need two.

"Of course with the injuries we've had, we weren't counting on losing Dann, Puncheon and Jeff Schlupp - two of them for a whole season - Schlupp probably late in March or early April before he can come back."
