Crystal Palace are making a new move for West Brom striker Saido Berahino.

The Sun says Palace will make a last-ditch attempt to hijack Stoke's move for Berahino.

Eagles boss Alan Pardew had wanted Christian Benteke but his hopes are fading because Liverpool want too much money — prompting him to move again for the former England Under-21 forward.

Berahino, 23, has the option of seeing out the final year of his contract at West Brom, but Stoke are ready to increase their bid to over £20million.

Potters boss Mark Hughes remains at the front of the queue but Palace will make a desperate last attempt next week.
