Crystal Palace have decided to make a significant donation to the London Air Ambulance service after they played a key role in rescuing defender Papa Souare in a car crash on the M4.
Souare, who was involved in a horror accident on Sunday, was airlifted to a hospital to undergo surgery for thigh and jaw injuries.
The 26-year-old is expected to leave the hospital before the weekend.
Palace chairman Steve Parish said in statement: "The club note that this organisation is a charity and completely funded from donations as such we are making a contribution and would urge everyone to support this invaluable service for the people of London."
