Crystal Palace are locked in talks with Benfica for Ola John.

The striker came close to signing for Swansea City at the end of last season and remains hopeful of moving to the Premier League this summer.

Palace have come forward this week and discussed terms with Benfica.

The Portuguese giants are demanding €12 million to sell John, which Palace has deemed too rich.

However, Palace boss Alan Pardew retains hope of landing the attacker and negotiations will continue today.
