Crystal Palace hero Dougie Freedman is in talks about the manager's post.
The Mirror says Palace legend Freedman returned as Paul Hart's assistant in the successful survival fight and is up for the challenge of taking over as boss as the Eagles look around for a new chief.
Chris Coleman has already spoken to the prospective owners and Freedman is due to have a meeting too to throw his hat into the ring.
Hart is a free agent at the end of his contract and may also be on the short-list despite talking to Hull City about their vacancy as he considers his next move.
