Crystal Palace launching bid for Ipswich goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski

Crystal Palace are launching a bid for Ipswich Town goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski.

The Mirror says Palace boss Roy Hodgson wants a new keeper in January to strengthen that department despite already having Wayne Hennessey and Julian Speroni.

Polish-born Bialkowski, 30, is top of Palace's hit list of keepers and they have already made enquiries to Ipswich over whether they will sell.

Bialkowski is out of contract at the end of the season but there is an option to extend the deal so Ipswich will still ask in excess of £4m.

Palace also want a centre half after potentially losing Scott Dann for the rest of the season after he suffered a “serious" knee injury in their defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.
