Crystal Palace have joined the battle for Manchester United goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
The Mirror says Palace have joined the race for Johnstone to leave Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce with a major headache.
Bruce wanted 6ft 3in Manchester United shot-stopper Johnstone, 24, back on loan at Villa Park next season.
He impressed in the Championship with eight clean sheets in 21 appearances after a January loan from Old Trafford.
But Johnstone has Premier League suitors with West Brom, Huddersfield and Leicester monitoring him along with Villa and relegated Middlesbrough.
