Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni fancies the vacant manager's job!

Speroni was delighted to do his part for Crystal Palace in promoting and helping out in the club's annual Beer Festival on Saturday.

Despite Sam Allardyce's resignation, spirits were high on the day.

Asked by the Croydon Advertiser if the sight of Speroni standing on the touchline was something Palace fans may see in the near future, he laughed: "I might apply for the job now, you never know!

"No, not yet. Years in the future you never know, but at the moment I'm happy being a player."
