Crystal Palace fullback Pape Souare is reluctant to put a date on his first team return.

One year on from sustaining jaw and thigh bone injuries in a car crash on the M4, Souare is working his way back through the U23s.

"I am feeling good and it is good to play 90 minutes. It is new for me, and I am happy I completed it," he told the Croydon Advertiser after their win over Sheffield Wednesday.

"I keep going step by step and keep doing what I have to do.

"We are disappointed that we lost, but it is good for me to get the minutes. I would have liked to have won, but that is football."
