Crystal Palace failed with a bid for Birmingham City winger Demarai Gray on deadline day.
The England U18 international has been watched extensively by Arsenal and Manchester United over the past 12 months.
The Birmingham Mail says Palace had an offer turned down for the 18 year-old on Monday.
Gray is Birmingham's current Academy Player of the Season.
