Crystal Palace are weighing up a big-money move for Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani, according to reports from the Daily Mirror.

Palace have given themselves a very strong chance of qualifying for Europe this season with a fine start.

However, there is evidently a lot of work to be done in order for Palace to be able to earn a place in the Europa League and strengthening the squad, particularly in attack, in January will be on the agenda for Alan Pardew.

Now in a bid to reinforce his attack, Pardew is said to be eyeing a whopping £14million move for Sporting's Algeria international Slimani.
