Patrick Van Aanholt insists Crystal Palace must move on from their heartbreaking loss to Tottenham.

The Eagles held off Mauricio Pochettino's side for 88 minutes before none other than Harry Kane popped up to score the winner.

A point would have helped Palace considerably as goal difference is now the only thing keeping them out of the drop zone. And Van Aanholt knows they must switch their focus to next week's game against Manchester United.

"We were right in it until the end and then lost in the 88th minute, concede a corner and they score at the back post," he said in a post-match interview.

"We are very disappointed but we have to move on now.

"We were very good defensively [against Tottenham] and didn't create much up front, but we were solid at the back and defended like a team, but in the end we still lost."
