The Senegalese left-back suffered thigh and jaw bone injuries in a two-vehicle collision on the M4 just over a fortnight ago, and was airlifted to hospital.
Posting on Instagram, he said: "It is with a deep feeling of gratefulness that I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all and everyone for their support in the though [sic] time.
"My family, my professional family, my family of friends, my family of supporters and fans; here and everywhere.
"Your prayers, messages, calls, pictures, banners and all other kind gestures are really touching and appreciated. It's kept me going.
"I will come back stronger for you guys, for us."
