Crystal Palace crushed as Chelsea rule out Loftus-Cheek sale

Chelsea have no interest in selling Ruben Loftus-Cheek as they view him as part of their future plans.

The 21-year-old is currently on loan with Crystal Palace and impressing.

In addition to winning him plenty of rave reviews and fans, his performances have also won him a cap for the England national team.

Loftus-Cheek moved to Crystal Palace during the summer in order to gain more experience after managing just 14 first team appearances for Chelsea.

Though Loftus-Cheek is a talented player, competition for places in the Chelsea first team is intense.

Loftus-Cheek and new recruit Ross Barkley will have to compete with N'Golo Kante, Cesc Fabregas, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater for first team action next season as things stand.

Palace manager Roy Hodgson has indicated that he would like to sign Loftus-Cheek permanently.

He said: "The way Ruben's been playing for us, he's a player we'd like to have at our club, there's no doubt about that."
