Crystal Palace could be sold to new owners in days.
The Croydon Advertiser says group of investors, including private equity executives from Apollo Global Management and Blackstone, are in "late-stage discussions" with the current Palace owners - a report on the FT website suggests.
The US consortium is led by Josh Harris, a billionaire who already owns New Jersey Devils, in the National Hockey League, and NBA team Philadelphia 76ers.
The takeover talk has been rumbling since the autumn but, with a £5billion TV deal recently being signed by the Premier League, Palace have become an even more attractive proposition.
