Crystal Palace are closing on a deal for Espanyol goalkeeper Diego Lopez.
The Mirror says Palace are confident of agreeing a deal to sign Espanyol keeper Diego Lopez.
Roy Hodgson has moved for the 36-year-old after identifying his last line of defence as a problem position.
Lopez has had two spells at Real Madrid, winning the title with them in 2007 and the Champions League three years ago.
He has also played for Villarreal, Sevilla and AC Milan, who sent him to Barcelona-based Espanyol in August on a season-long loan.
