Crystal Palace are close to securing the signatures of Max Meyer and Cheikhou Kouyate.
The former will complete his move once international clearance has been accepted. Meyer is a free agent after running down his contract at Schalke.
Kouyate was being shopped by West Ham United, with Sky Sports claiming the Hammers wanted £10m for the Senegal international.
With midfielders Yohan Cabaye, Bakary Sako and Chung-Yong Lee having left this summer, the double signing is a valuable boost for Eagles boss Roy Hodgson with just over a week until the season starts.
