Crystal Palace are chasing Hull City midfielder Momo Diame.

The Mirror says Palace boss Alan Pardew was interested in signing Diame last month, but did not bid because the Championship side were adamant the Senegal midfielder was not for sale.

Pardew will try again in the summer and feels his chances of landing Diame will be boosted if the Yorkshiremen miss out on promotion back to the top flight.

Steve Bruce will have to trim his wage bill again if he fails to lead the Tigers back to the Premier League, and the club would want to recoup the £3.5million they paid West Ham for Diame in 2014.
