Crystal Palace chairman Parish: I'm disappointed in Salako

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish is unhappy with John Salako over criticism aimed at the club.

Salako's comments, some of which can be seen below, ranged from saying that the players are "not good enough" and that confidence is "shot to pieces" to suggesting that the Eagles are in "major trouble."

Parish told Holmesdale Radio: "I am disappointed in John, to be honest, I really am. I like him as a person.

"It is disrespectful to our players to say that they are not good enough.

"I do remember John being an integral part of the first-team system [under Alan Pardew] when we were not having the best results in the world.

"It is people in glass houses really. I don't really think it is constructive from someone in the game.

"We are in a difficult moment and I would expect a bit more support and understanding from someone like that, so it is disappointing."
