Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has kept the door ajar on the possibility of taking over at Notts County.
The Eagles boss has refused to rule out a return to the club he managed in the late 1980s and early 1990s following the sacking of Ian McParland from his post as Magpies manager.
"You can never say never about anything in this business," said Warnock.
"All I can say is that I'm enjoying my time here at the moment."
Other names in the frame for the Notts County job include Inter Milan boss Roberto Mancini, former England midfielder David Platt, ex-Burnley boss Steve Cotterill and current Magpies director of football Sven-Goran Eriksson.
