Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson says they must not get carried away after their Carabao Cup win over Huddersfield Town.
With the Eagles still rock bottom of the Premier League without a point – or a goal – so far this season, and with games against Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea on the horizon, Hodgson says there is a long way to go for his side.
"We have shown already that we can become harder to beat and cause more problems for the opposition," he said.
"But the players understand that you don't repair the sort of damage we have suffered overnight and it will be a longish process.
"But there is light at the end of the tunnel and I have seen shards of it with this performance."
