Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew says Jason Puncheon is displaying England form.
Pardew believes Roy Hodgson could do worse than hand a first cap to a 29-year-old who has seen life in all four divisions as well as non-league.
He said: "I think he is one of those players that goes under the radar a little bit.
"He's a technical player and I think international football would actually suit him because it's a little bit slower than Premier League football.
"England doesn't have a lot of those kind of players that can conjure up a moment. I think Punch can do that, I think he has the confidence to do that."
