Crystal Palace boss Pardew reveals Cabaye heart-to-heart after Paris terror attacks

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew admits having a heart-to-heart with Yohan Cabaye after the Paris terror attacks.

Cabaye was on the bench at the Stade de France last Friday when suicide bombers targeted the friendly match against Germany and also featured in Tuesday's international match against England at Wembley.

Palace are at home to Sunderland in the Barclays Premier League on Monday night, and Pardew says there is a willingness from his French players to be involved.

He said: "We have had conversations with our French players to make sure their nearest and dearest were safe and well, which I can report they are.

"They were obviously affected by the tragic events but I think they all have a willingness to play on Monday and perform to their best abilities.

"Yohan played in the game (at Wembley), he was a little bit lost with the events as you can imagine. I thought the FA did a terrific job and so did the security around the stadium."
