Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew insists he's counting on goalkeeper Julian Speroni.

The veteran has been linked with Newcastle United.

"I've seen that [rumour] in the paper with my old club Newcastle interested and others interested in Speroni but we've had no phonecalls or contact with any other clubs," said Pardew.

"We are always going to be in the frame with other clubs because we've got three great goalies, which is a real asset for us.

"It's an asset that I will be reluctant to weaken because it's nice to have all three of them here."
